Empowering

Women–One

Room at a Time

The holiday season is in full swing!  The tree’s lit, stockings are hung, the Elf on the Shelf is chugging along (for now!), and the end of the year is rapidly approaching.

How have you been?

But, seriously...because I’d love to share how I’ve been. So grab a drink and snuggle up!

It’s about to get personal up in here.

Almost two years ago, I began this journey as a Feng Shui Mama.

I say, “Feng Shui Mama”, because I started incorporating Feng Shui into my life with one intention - to be a present parent.

I used to be a very different version of mom:  hair in a messy bun, wearing yesterday’s eyeliner, rushing through life and missing all the simple moments with my little guy.

When I did get a moment with him, my mind was cluttered with thoughts of to-dos dancing in my head.

I felt life was a sprint, always dashing to the next finish line (and in record time thanks to my inner overachiever).

Having been indoctrinated into a 24/7 industry at a young age, I didn’t know how to think in terms of “taking a break” or “work-life balance”.

My husband’s favorite joke was that the only way he could get me to lay in a hammock was to tie me to it!

Because the truth is, I LOVED my job!

The constant road blocks (literally and figuratively) and non-stop drilling of a job site.  The revolving door of hotel guests, new faces at every corner.  And enough drama to keep Jerry Springer pumping out episodes for another few decades.

It took me four and a half years to realize that my lifestyle was no longer serving me.

My priorities had shifted

My child needed me in a new capacity… and I was failing to show up.

Somewhere between being the once-funny girl who loved life and the worried mom screaming at her coworkers, I lost myself…

I stopped going out with friends, stopped using social media…basically, I fell off the face of the Earth.

Mom guilt sank in each day which further fueled my lack of sleep, nonexistent self-care routine, and permanent RBF.

I didn’t know how to let go of past versions of myself in order to become what I desperately desired: the mom who was both mentally and physically present with her child; the mom who wasn’t yelling at the drop of a hat; the mom who could tend to her self-care without the constant pangs of mom guilt; the mom who made time to fill her own cup so that she could overflow nurturing love to her family.

My nervous system was in overdrive.

I was suffering from severe burnout and strange medical anomalies.

Issues began popping up at my son’s school and my uncle suddenly passed away.

I didn’t realize it then, but…grief was the key that unlocked my inner Pandora’s box.

And that is how The Feng Shui Prescription™ was born.

Using The Feng Shui Prescription™ to achieve the life you desire.

You see, Feng Shui is more than just a way of arranging furniture–it’s the path back to YOU!

When you declutter your home, you don’t just eliminate material things you’re no longer using.

You start to unravel limiting beliefs that have kept you tethered to your past.

When you align your home according to feng shui principles, you’re not just “enhancing your ch’i”-you’re filling your surroundings with objects that propel you towards your goals and intentions.

You get unstuck from the past and indecision. And ultimately, you don’t just let go, but move on.

Things that held you back before begin to peel away.

You become empowered, find purpose again and your actions become intentional.

I thought being a present parent, one who was calm in the face of stress, was out of reach.

I believed that feeling good about the permanent changes to my post-baby body were out of the question.

And saying, “Bon voyage”, to a corporate career for a passion project?  Hell to the no.

I realized what I needed wasn’t out there:  there isn’t a physical prescription for your troubles.

The prescription is within you.  It just has to be unearthed (that’s where I come in!).

The Feng Shui Prescription™ gives you actionable steps in an easy-to-follow system.

Curated to your individual intentions, your story.

Be forewarned - it will lead to transformation and growth.

I know because I created it while experiencing my own healing journey.

Years of grief and guilt were sloughed off as I began to understand that I did have to ability to change my reality and find that place of inner peace.

Whether you start slow with tips from my newsletter or dive in head first with The Feng Shui Prescription™, it’s up to you.

You’re in the driver’s seat, Mamawhat’s stopping you?
